Tracking a Journey or a Delivery

Someone has invited you to follow a delivery or trip. You don't need an account and you don't need to install anything — just a web browser.

Step 1 — Open your invite

Look for the email from journey.delivery. It contains a tracking link, the driver's Trip ID and a 6-digit PIN. Click the link — the Trip ID and PIN are filled in for you.

No link handy? Go to journey.delivery/track and type the Trip ID and PIN from the email.

Step 2 — Enter your email

Enter the same email address the invitation was sent to. This is what confirms you're one of the people the driver chose to share this trip with. If someone forwarded you the email, you'll need the driver to invite your own address.

Step 3 — Follow the journey

Once you're in, you'll see:

  • The live position of the vehicle on a road map.
  • The road already travelled, drawn as a solid line from the start point.
  • The planned route ahead to the destination.
  • Distance and time remaining.
  • Driver, vehicle and load details, so you know who and what to expect.
  • When the position was last updated.

The map refreshes on its own every few seconds — there's no need to reload the page.

You don't have to keep watching

journey.delivery emails you automatically as the trip progresses and when the vehicle is close to arriving, then again when the driver marks it complete. See Alerts & Journey History for the details.

Troubleshooting

It says my details don't match.
Check the Trip ID and PIN against the email exactly, and make sure you're using the email address the invite was sent to. Access is per trip — an old invite from a previous delivery won't open a new one.
It says I've made too many attempts.
For security, repeated failed attempts are paused for a short while. Wait about 15 minutes and try again with the details from your email.
The vehicle hasn't moved for a while.
Look at the "last updated" time. If it's old, the driver may have stopped, be in an area with poor signal, or not have started the journey yet. The map catches up automatically once new positions arrive.
The map shows the journey but it's finished.
Completed journeys stay viewable for 12 months, showing the full route that was driven.

Your privacy

Your email is used only to confirm your access to this trip and to send you that trip's alerts. You can't be added to a driver's other journeys without a new, separate invitation.
